Yesterday [Wednesday] as most of the 9,000 troops from 16 nations participating on KEVADTORM 17 (KT17)  in Eastern Estonia reorganised for Stage III, the Combat Operations phase, of the exercise Distinguished Visitors were invited to view the varied capabilities of the two multinational brigades.

In addition to receiving a detailed briefing on the 15th exercise in the annual KEVADTORM series, the largest to date, DVs from as far afield as the United States and China were able to view representative armoured and support vehicles plus weapons and equipment of the participants. Estonia’s defence industry was also present, with display stands housed in a large marquee, and a small dynamic demonstration with Unmanned Ground Vehicles supporting troops was also laid on for the visitors.

This morning the light forces of the two brigades go head to head in the first of two three-day battle phases…
