Boots On Test ~ MEINDL Equator Alpha GTX

Bootmakers MEINDL have recently sent us a pair of their new Equator Alpha GTX patrol boots, in MoD Brown, for review in C&S and we are currently testing them.

Just like the original MEINDL Equator desert boots, which we reviewed in our December 2014 issue, the new EQUATOR Alpha GTX patrol boot model  uses one of the very latest generation Gore-Tex high performance Extended Comfort laminates to provide both breathability and waterproofing. However, although at first glance the Equator Alpha GTX patrol may look very similar to the original Equator GTX desert boot, there are distinct differences to ensure the brown boot is better suited for general military duties in a wider range of climates and terrains.

If all goes to plan our review of the Equator Alpha GTX should be published the April 17 issue of COMBAT & SURVIVAL Magazine, which is due to go on sale in the UK from Thursday 9th March.
